BP-the oil-spill song

BP
We wonder what you were drinking?
For, while your glasses were clinking,
You drilled a hole without thinking.

BP
You knew just why you were drilling
All your investors were thrilling
They knew they’d soon make a killing.

But then, quite suddenly, it all disintegrated;
Your men were fodder for the fish far and wide
“It’s just the cost of doing business,” you stated
We’ll plug the hole and drill another by its side”

BP
You thought there’d be nothin’ to it
You said, no problem, just screw it!
But now it seems you can’t do it.

You say you’ll pay for everybody’s awful losses
Twenty billion here and there won’t be a drain;
You’ll give enormous bonus payments to your bosses
But none to all the seabirds you have slain.

BP
When all the oceans are tarpits
Though beaches smell like cigar-pits
You’ll walk around on red carpets.
