DEAR GRANS: WE HAD A NICE, IF SMALL REHEARSAL YESTERDAY, AND PICKED SEVERAL SONGS TO SING ON UP-COMING SATURDAYS, IN FRONT OF BOOKSHOP S.C., TO HELP GET OUT THE VOTE AND TO EDUCATE PEOPLE NOT TO VOTE FOR PROP 23. EVERYBODY WHO CAN COME ON ANY OR ALL THE SATURDAYS FOR THE REMAINDER OF OCTOBER, PLEASE COME FROM 1:30 TO 2:30. WE’LL HAND OUT A FLYER ABOUT PROP. 23, AND
HAVE VOTER REGISTRATION FORMS FOR THE NEXT TWO SATURDAYS; AND WE’LL SING SOME PROP. 23/ANTI-OIL COMPANY SONGS.

SO, THAT’S SAT, THE 9TH, 16TH, 23RD, AND 30TH, ALL FROM 1:30-2:30, AT BOOKSHOP.

ON SUNDAY, OCT. 17TH, WE’LL PERFORM AT THE HARVEST FESTIVAL AT THE UNITARIAN FELLOWSHIP, FROM 3 TO 3:30 P.M. CARPOOLS WILL LEAVE FROM MY HOUSE AT 2:30. WE’LL SING ‘NO ON 23′ SONGS, BOLERO, AND A COUPLE OF OTHERS AS YET UNDECIDED, SINCE WE HAVE A WHOLE HALF HOUR!

THEN WE WILL JOIN THE UN DAY PARADE ON OCT. 24, UNITED NATIONS DAY. (WILL SOMEONE PLEASE POST THE TIME FOR GATHERING?)
THERE WILL BE TWO TEN-MINUTE STOPS FOR PERFORMANCES DURING THE MARCH, AND WE WILL SING OUR PROP 23 SONGS, AS WELL AS THE
“RIGHT-WING BOLERO,.” BOTH TIMES. WE MAY DO SOME CHANTS WHILE MARCHING, AS WELL. (SEE BELOW)
