MY HYBRID CAR

HYBRID CAR
(Side by Side)

Oh, we ain’t got a barrel of money
Can’t afford gas for the Humvee
And the air is so bad,
We wish we had a
Hybrid Car.

We thought that the Hummer was spiffy
Till the price of gas got so iffy
Now we’ll clean out the trunk
and sell it for junk,
and get a Hybrid Car.

We were in a pickle
Cou’ldn’t fill our tank with fuel
Then we got our sweet vehicle
And everything is so cool!

Oh, the neighbors come over and tell us
They’re all upset and jealous
Cause we pay less for gas
Than most people pass,
for our Hybrid Car.

Now while our car is performing,
We’re helping to stop global warming
It’s green as a bean
(Chartreuse!) and it’s keen
Our Hybrid Car.

When Gramps and I go out neckin’
We look mighty happy, I reckon
Just toolin’ around and foolin’ around
In our Hybrid Car.

We love public transportation
It’s fun on busses and trains
We ride our bikes when the sun shines
Stay home and snuggle when it rains!

Though it won’t take off like a rocket,
We just plug it into the socket
and we’ll go for a spin
on a jigger of gin,
in our Hybrid Car.
